I do like it as a web browsing machine - I don't have to update the "security" settings very often. I have not found that to be true, nor have I found the "for Dummies" books to be any more useful than a roll of toilet paper when it comes to decipering the obtuse Mac software. I bought a Mac a year ago because everyone told me the software works without a manual. I only "Upgrade" when I know I've got a pile of down time available, and that isn't often. This is because I have long since become tired of being a "beta tester" for new software. Right now I'm working on what will eventually be about 50 more tabs for my "Tabonanza" and I am actually using version 2.5 on my computer because I don't want to switch versions in the middle of a project. I don't get consistant results with the MAC version but I do get consistant results with the PC version - rather than spend my time on some sort of "de-bugging" aventure, I simply use the PC version that I can trust. However, if you find bugs or inconsistencies in any program that you use you should contact the authors - only by doing so can you hope for a 'fix' - if the authors don't know things are wrong and that there are problems then they will not attempt to fix things.
